An oral history reconstruction of the dramatic events that took place in the years leading up to the wedding of crown prince Willem-Alander of The Netherlands with Argentinian Máxima Zorreguieta. Since her father served as agriculture minister in the notorious regime of dictator Videla for five years, the wedding caused huge political turmoil in The Netherlands.

On the date of the wedding’s twentieth anniversary, ICU Documentaries presents a revealing documentary thriller based on countless off-record conversations with sources, interviews with players involved and never-before revealed documents in order to shed a new light on an important political event in Dutch contemporary history.

The series aired on January 31, February 1, 2 & 3, 2022 on the 2th channel of Dutch Public TV.
