ICU Documentaries has recently finished a four-episode documentary series on migration and asylum for public broadcaster BNNVARA, that will be broadcast on the second channel of Dutch Public TV, starting January 10, 2024.
It is one of the most controversial topics in Dutch politics: the influx of refugees and asylum seekers in the Netherlands and it led to the fall of the cabinet in 2023. Politicians on the right side of the political spectrum are calling for measures to reduce the number of asylum-seekers arriving in the country, while parties on the left urge national -and local- authorities to step up their game to facilitate well organized asylum-procedures.
