A series of six intriguing portraits of leaders from Latin America who once were revered by the people and who continue to inspire or outrage many of their fellow countrymen. Together with host Erik Dijkstra, ICU Documentaries directors Hans Hermans & Martin Maat traveled through the volatile history of the South American continent in order to bring historical figures like Evita Perón (Argentinia), Fidél Castro (Cuba) and Hugo Chavéz (Venezuela) but also leaders who are still active like Evo Morales (Bolivia) and Desi Bouterse (Surinam) to life.
